Question: My primer says to paint color within 48 hours and you say primer could sit 2 weeks to dry properly. Does it matter if I just sand it down?

I’m not sure what type of primer you are using, but usually, primers can sit a few weeks without any problems. You just need to sand it down and paint right over it.

You may be using a plain sealer or sealer primers. You just need to spray the sealer on and put your color right on top of it without sanding.

Atom X9 Spray Gun

We’ll be giving away the GunBudd Ultra Lighting Systems in the next auto body Q&A sessions, so I’d stay tuned for the next sessions! Remember, the GunBudd comes free for every Atom Spray Gun you purchase on Zoolaa

I’ve been getting some questions on Atom Spray Guns that were splattering. Please make sure to clean them properly and avoid taking out parts that don’t need to be disassembled. The only thing that you need to take apart when cleaning your spray gun is the needle and nozzle cap. Never take off parts like the valves because they are factory glued-in. If you take them apart, it will definitely mess up your spray gun.

Here’s a short video where I show you how to clean your Atom Spray Gun:
